Serve Your Community on Tree Advisory Board

With the recent election of the Vice Mayor, John Dubois' position on the Tree Board requires a replacement. Additionally, three members’ terms expire mid-February 2013. The appointments are as follows:

• Henry Clifford
• Rick Cohen
• Bryan Fraind
• Bill O’Leary

From the Ordinance 09-02 that established this Board: The advisory board members shall serve for two-year, under staggered terms, serving without compensation. Each advisory board member must be knowledgeable in at least one of the identified fields of: urban planning; landscape architecture; or be a tree-related professional such as a forestry professor, nursery operator, arborist, or be an other environmental civic activist. To ensure a balanced and diverse advisory board it is recommended that at least two of the board members be a tree-related professional or show substantial participation in horticultural activities, and one be a civic leader in the community.
